Dr. Roy is our highly skilled Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, bringing over 25 years of extensive clinical experience to our team. This means he’s a dental specialist who performs surgeries related to the mouth, jaws, and face.

He earned his bachelors and advanced surgical degrees (BDS & MDS) with top honors from the Manipal College of Dental Sciences by 1996. To further expand his expertise, he also holds a special Masters Certificate in Oral Laser Application from the University of Vienna, Austria, and a Certificate in Implantology from Goethe University in Germany. A highly esteemed doctor, Dr. Roy has been a key member of the SMC team since 2014.

• Wisdom Teeth Removal: Roy is exceptionally skilled in performing complicated extractions, including the surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth and exposing teeth that haven’t erupted properly. Many patients give him excellent reviews for these procedures, highlighting his ability to make even complex removals as smooth and comfortable as possible.
• Minor surgical procedures: His expertise also extends to various pre-prosthetic surgeries, such as sinus lifts (adding bone to the upper jaw for implants), frenectomy (releasing muscle attachments), and other soft tissue and bone augmentation procedures that prepare your mouth for successful tooth replacements.
• Other minor oral surgeries: Such as apicoectomy, which involves removing the tip of a tooth’s root and sealing it when a root canal alone isn’t enough to heal an infection.
